Meteorite from the Meteor Crater With Stand
Meteorite from the METEOR CRATER
Genuine Meteorite from the METEOR CRATER displayed with a magnetic stand.
The meteorite is attracted by a small strong magnet on the top of the magnetic stand and can be easily removed so you can hold the meteorite in your own hand!
The Meteor Crater was created about 50,000 years ago. The meteorite which excavated the crater was a giant piece of nickel-iron meteorite about 50 meters across weighing 300,000 tonne (330,000 short tons), which impacted the plain at a speed of 20 kilometers per second (45,000 mph).
The impact produced a massive explosion equivalent to about 150 times the yield of the atomic bombs used at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Meteorite: Iron meteorite from The METEOR CRATER, minimum size 0.4x0.4 inch (10x10mm) found in Arizona
