History: A fireball was witnessed by Nomads in the Sahara in July 2011 during the day around noon.
28.5g oriented martian meteorite, about 99% glossy fusion crust oriented like a bullet

A fireball was witnessed by Nomads in the Sahara in July 2011 during the day around noon. Several pieces were later discovered by Nomads, mostly broken during impact on the hard surface of the desert pavement.
One small unbroken 28.5g oriented stone covered by glossy fresh fusion crust was discovered by a Nomad and acquired by Luc Labenne owner of the company Labenne Meteorites (www.meteorites.tv). More pieces, mostly fragments, were purchased at the same time and some given for scientific investigation.
This Martian meteorite is under investigation in several institutions.
More pieces coming soon.
