The Foumzgit martian meteorite:
Nomads report to scientists that early in the morning (around 2:15 am) Wednesday, July 13, 2011, in the El Galâb region, 60 km southeast of Tata, nomads and military personnel (El Galâb is a military zone) were abruptly awakened by a loud explosion. Nomad Hassan Srhiouar, nearby the fall, first thought he heard thunder, then witnessed a bright light (fireball) over the entire mountainous region. The fall is assumed to be to the East.
He also heard an explosion further on. The fall was observed by several residents of the city of Tata.
