La Caille (or Caille) is a famous historic French meteorite classified as an ungrouped iron, schocked and recrystallized. The mass of 626kg was used for about two centuries as a seat in front of the church of La Caille. The big iron was previously transported from the mountain of Audibergue, about 6 miles SE of La Caille, C.P. Brard (1829); G.A. Daubrée (1867).
